Avengers Endgame : Movie Review

Emily Kalinowski ’19 Staff Writer

This review does not contain spoilers, but includes a basic plot outline and main cast that appear in the film.

The highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame has already pulled in 1.2 billion in its opening weekend, and here’s why:

I was beyond enthusiastic opening day as I arrived at the theatre, which was already packed with marvel fans who were just as excited as I was to see the next and last installment of the Avengers franchise.

Avengers: Endgame continues shortly after where Avengers: Infinity War left off, in which Thanos wiped out half of the universes’ population with the power of the infinity stones. In this film, the remaining Avengers join forces once again in their attempt to restore order to the universe.

My overall rating of the film is a 10/10, as for me, it is probably the best of all Marvel films, or at least in my top three. The movie left me fulfilled, although not entirely pleased with the fate of each character.

The movie had close to a perfect ending, although it would’ve been nice to see a clear tribute, or even a tribute to Stan lee as a post-credits scene, as Marvel is famous for adding. However, the film has a brief audio clip from the first Iron Man movie featured in the post-credits. This not only breaks tradition, but also leaves some audience members confused of its significance.

You also might want the extra-large popcorn, because this movie is a little over three hours long! Nevertheless, this is a must see for all Marvel fans, and one I’d even consider going to see again!

Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 96%

Main Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Josh Brolin, Bradley Cooper, Brie Larson, Tom Holland, Don Cheadle, etc.
