Even though the girls tennis team lost three seniors, they are starting the season off strong. They have been working hard practicing at the Saginaw Athletic Complex. Their coaches, Kelsey and Meghan have been conditioning the girls with running laps around the courts along with running “H’s”. Additionally, they have had challenge matches the past couple days to fight for their spot. This week they filled Easter eggs for the little kids a the elementary school for team bonding and to create more team unity. Last year the girls made it to states and are hoping to place in the top ten this year.

When asked about how the season will go, Junior, Caroline Shaheen said, “I think we will be a pretty good team, but I’m interested to see what the doubles team will end up being.” ” We only lost three seniors so we should still be strong and it gives the players on exhibition a chance to play.”

The team’s first match is Wednesday March 20th against Bay City Wester.
