Ring Season?

The Nouvel Catholic Central boys basketball team is ready for the 2023-2024 season. Head Coach Michael Kessler had a couple things to say about the upcoming season. “I am excited to get started and excited with the guys we have.” Speaking of those guys, the varsity team is returning 4 out of the 5 starters. That includes MJ and Donny Yeager, Preston Otter, and Matthew Hartwell. Cam Kaul, Tristen Elizalde, Jack Wilson, and Brandon Murphy will all be competing for that 5th spot. That is some good news for the fans because it will be very exciting to watch a very good top 8 players. 

Last year the boys’ basketball team had to play up in Division 3. This really hurt their chances in the playoffs because they had to play much larger schools. This year is different though, Nouvel is back in Division 4 and looking to make a run at the state title. The Panthers are hoping to come out strong in their first regular season game against Garber on November 28th. The student section was great all football season, and the basketball team is expecting nothing less. Come out and support the Panthers in their home opener, the student section theme is beach out.
