With spring sports in full swing at Nouvel Catholic Central, the Varsity golf team is working hard to win a state championship in Division 4 men’s golf. Despite last year’s impressive performance, where they showcased their skills at the state tournament ending day one in 3rd place, they fell short on the second day finishing 6th overall. This year’s team brings a new type of determination, working hard to accomplish their goals.

The boys’ golf team is fortunate to be returning all their players who competed in states last year. Two-time team captain Giorgio Fabiano shares his insights with us on the upcoming season, acknowledging past challenges, “Last year, we had a promising start at the state tournament, but faltered on the second day. Our shortcomings were do to not being mentally and physically prepared for the demanding 36 holes played over two days. However, with the experience gained from last year’s tournament, our team is in a great position to excel this year.”

The Nouvel team is looking at a very competitive season, this years team is focused on overcoming previous obstacles they faced last year and aiming for a state championship. Nouvel will once again defend their Regional crown, looking for their third consecutive regional championship. With determination and proper preparation, the team is ready for a strong season . Let’s rally behind Nouvel’s boys’ golf team as they strive for victory this season!
