Girls Varsity Soccer Season is underway!!

The Nouvel Girls Varsity soccer team’s 2024 season has officially kicked off! After loosing star senior players Lydia Jacobs and Emilee Rosenberg it was a question on how the team was gonna start off their season however they would start off their preseason strong and they were ready to pick up where they left off. The girls had two preseason scrimmages against Swan Valley and John Glenn in which the Lady Panthers both came out on top. The girls were also supposed to officially start their season on March 20th against Midland Dow but it got canceled due to the weather. After the cancellation of that game, the girls would have their first game of the season on March 25th against Bay City Western. Unfortunately, the Lady Panthers came up short 2-3 and it would be their first and final game before heading off for spring break. Now that spring break has ended, the practices and games will start up once again and they’re looking to come back from that loss and possibly win districts back-to-back and making it farther in the playoffs. The future seems bright for this team and with Athletic Director and Head Coach Matt Solek, starting his 9th year of coaching the team it is no question that the girls will come back and succeed this year.
