Boys Basketball: Two Schools + One Community

The Nouvel boys basketball team has continued putting in hard work at their games. Their most recent games have come against Fowler and Muskegon Heights Academy. The teams next big game comes against Swan Valley tonight at 7:30. Swan Valley has always been a big rival for Nouvel, but this game has more meaning to it than just another game. A member of Coach Mike Kessler’s family, Sam Nacarato, (and brother to Cecelia Sullivan) is in need of our help with medical costs associated with being diagnosed with POEMS.  Sam has been fighting this battle for the last 2 years and it has taken a financial, physical, and emotional toll on his family. He is no longer able to work and has been placed on disability. Sam’s two children attend Swan Valley. A fundraiser is being planned for this game. Donations will be taken at the door along with raffled being sold. Raffles will be sold during all three games, freshman, JV, and varsity. Along with this, a Pampered Chef sale will be going during the game too. 25% of the sales will be going directly to Sam’s family.
