In the past, Nouvel seems to always be on the losing side of the competition against Bay City All Saints in what is know as the Hoops For the Homeless. However this year was different for the Blue and Silver. Nouvel demolished, in a Christian way, the All Saints team in route to their 148-108 victory, and it never felt as close as the score indicates. The Nouvel students and Alumni proved to be a great one This win snaps a five year winning streak by All Saints. On the other hand, the basketball game, though very exciting and entertaining, was not the main purpose of the competition between the Catholic Schools. The whole purpose of this event was to raise money for the people in need. This event took place in the Delta Pioneer Gym full of parents and students excited to raise money for the cause. The money raised is going to the Good Samaritans Rescue Mission of Bay City and Saginaw. During the event there was a great amount of donations by every single person. The event raised just about $7,300, which is all thanks to the people of the community. Finally, a big thank you to all of the people involved with putting on this terrific event that helps so many families.
