Pom Qualifies for States

The Nouvel Pom-Pon team is heading off to Lansing to try and claim a state title!  There are five other teams in their division competing on February 4 at the Breslin Center.  To prepare for this exciting event, our pommers have been working to build endurance and strengthen their leg muscles, along with many hours of practicing their routine every day, so that it will look perfect when the time comes to perform.  When asking Katie Dey what it means to her if they win states, she says, “Winning would make all the work that we have dedicated to Pom feel like it has finally paid off.  The long hours in the summer and after school would have finally served for a great purpose.  To me Pom is life, so all my hard work would have been put to wonderful use.”  Our Lady Panthers should do great because they are a performance-based team and will execute their goal in winning.  Also, since the team meshes well together it is easier for them to perform as one rather than individuals.  If you happen to see any of our Pom team members in the hall or outside of school, be sure to wish them GOOD LUCK as they journey to States!!!
