Time to Hit the Clubs

The return of the school year has left Nouvel extremely busy. Between prepping for homecoming and running fundraisers, there has yet to be a dull moment within the walls of this school. Here is an inside peek at what has been going on in Nouvel’s clubs and organizations.

National Honor Society- This organization works on a service project every month. In august, they ran a school supply drive, and this month, they are doing a blood drive on September 21. For October, they are planning a mitten and underwear drive.

Student Government- This organization is made up of a group of students voted on by their classmates. They are in charge of planning and setting up events for the school. As of now, they are prepping for Homecoming week.

Spirit Club- This is the club in charge of keeping up school spirit throughout the school and during sporting events. At the very start of the year, they made signs and put them up around the school to keep spirts up. They are now collecting ink cartridges for a fundraiser they are doing.

Students Against Destructive Decisions- This club, otherwise known as SADD, is dedicated to preventing harmful decisions such as underage drinking, drug use, and impaired driving. For their first project, they are planning what they are going to do for Homecoming.

Protect Life- This is a pro-life club that focuses on raising awareness about abortion. They plan to go to an abortion clinic and pray on the outside monthly along with watching documentaries dealing with abortions. They are also thinking about going to a Right to Life banquet.

PR/Marketing- While this is actually a class at Nouvel and not a club, they work on projects for the school. They work on school-day activities, like assemblies, and they also plan out what we call Christmas Week. They plan out the theme and activities for each day during the week. Their upcoming project is helping plan the power of pink games.
