Full Name: Aubrey Walker

Nicole: List 5 adjectives to describe yourself:

Mrs. Walker:

  1. Fun
  2. Outgoing
  3. Momming :)
  4. Outdoorsy
  5. Friendly!!

Nicole: Why do you teach at the high school level?

Mrs. Walker: Um, I don’t know… I like older kids better than tiny people. They’re just easier to relate to. I subbed a lot in the younger grades, they’re nice but I like the older kids.

Nicole: What is your philosophy of education?

Mrs. Walker: I’m here to help you guys learn. So whatever I can do to help you, whether it’s in math or something else, I can help.

Nicole: What subject do you teach and why?

Mrs. Walker: I teach math. I’ve always liked math so when I decided to go into teaching, math seemed like the easy choice.

Nicole: What do you hope to learn from your new students here at Nouvel?

Mrs. Walker: New ways to relate and teach. Not everybody learns the same, and you can always learn how to relate to different personalities.

Nicole: What are you most excited about here at Nouvel?

Mrs. Walker: It feels good to be back home. I graduated from here so it is nice to be back!

Nicole: Is there anything else (i.e. fun facts) that you would like to add?

Mrs. Walker: Well, I graduated in 2004 from Nouvel! I played sports when I was here such as I played varsity soccer for four years and we went to the state championship (I think we were the only soccer team to actually do that!) I have two kids, a boy and a girl. I have been married for seven years and live in Chesaning, which is only about 25 minutes to drive in. They go to St. Charles and will probably go to Swan Valley next year.
