Continuing a longstanding tradition, each October, the Nouvel Catholic Central Public Relations class and Athletic Program take a week to remember and honor those battling breast cancer.  This year, the Power of Pink will begin Monday, October 11th and run through the varsity football Game to Remember, October 15th.

Starting off our 2021 pink week, Monday includes voting for your favorite teacher to get pied in the face; each vote costs 50 cents with all additional funding going to Seton Cancer Institute with St. Mary’s Ascension. Monday also includes a ribbon banner where you can chose to honor someone who is currently or previously battled cancer.  Tuesday is a pay to wear jeans or sweats day; with the money raised from this will go to a family at the elementary who has a loved one fighting breast cancer.

The student favorite, Pinko-Plinko game, will be available to play in both A and B lunch hours on Thursday with a chance to win different prizes including comfy day passes, a free cookie at lunch, a candy bag, and much more. To conclude the week, we will have an all school assembly on Friday where the teachers with the most votes get pied  and students get to show their support for breast cancer by going all-out dressing in all-pink. Prizes will be awarded to the the “best” pink-out participants, and students are encouraged to stay all in pink for the football game that night.
