Wrestling Ends Postseason Play with a Bang!

Although the team fell in districts, individual districts was a great success for the Nouvel wrestlers. The team was able to qualify two wrestlers for regional’s, Matt Sullivan and Preston Brisette. In order to do this both placed in the top four for their respected weight classes. At regional’s Matt and Preston had great days but lost in their qualifying matches that they needed to win to get to states. Both guys had amazing seasons and when I asked senior captain Matt Sullivan what his time in the wrestling program meant to him he said, “I loved competing and I am very sad that I will no longer be able to wrestle for NCC, but I learned a lot about myself and what I was truly capable of in the past four years. I am very proud of my team and how I have grown as a person through my 4 years in the wrestling program.”
