As of Saturday, December 29, the FNV Griffins have gone to a record of 6-6. The Griffins received their fifth and sixth wins of the season this past Saturday  in the 1st Annual Saginaw Bay Invitational Tournament. The first annual tournament consisted of four high school teams from around the area. the four teams were of course the FNV Griffins, Tawas High School, Tri-Valley Titans, and the Eastside Stars. The Griffins started out the tournament that Friday the 28th against Tawas. The Griffins made a strong impression in the tournament with the first win a 9-0 mercy over Tawas. With the win they advanced to the championship. The Griffins faced off with across town rivals the Titans. the Griffins didn’t have much difficulty in the championship as they went on to win the game 7-1. Junior John Paul Lefevre stated,” It is very cool to say that we have one the first ever Saginaw Bay Invitational.” The Griffins next game is the 12th of January against Fenton/Linden. The game is scheduled to be played at Hartland Sports Center, the puck will drop at 7:00 o’clock EST. Come out and support the Griffins!!!
