Who’s got it better than our cross country team? Nobody.  At Saturday’s Delta College Invitational, both Ceci Gross ’19 and Matt Bartels ’17 earned medals. Bartels placed 2nd (out of 101 runners) in the previous Frankenmuth Invitational, also won the Div III/IV race over 75 other runners and was awarded the Al Kayner scholarship (based on academic and athletic achievement and commitment to distance running). Sergio Molinar ’19, William Sherman ’20, Nathan Wardin ’20, as well as Ceci and Matt all ran personal bests in the 2 mile. The Panthers are continuing to add to their resume for a strong season, continuing to strive for greatness behind strong runners. Bartels is currently ranked second in the state (in our Division 4)  for best times.

Soccer

The boys soccer team continues to battle and compete every time they take the field. Although the win loss column might not look great, it sure has not effected the competitive spirit of these guys. This squad is very close to really putting things together and becoming a very tough team for opponents to play. On the brighter side of things, the boys had a tremendous 9-0 victory against Laker High School on 9/16. A performance like this shows just how dangerous this team can be when clicking on all cylinders. Be sure to support the team during this homecoming week as they face off against rival John Glenn, @ Glenn, on Wednesday 9/28, and on Friday 9/30 @ home vs. Catholic Central.

Volleyball

The Lady Panthers are on fire on the court. With an away win At New Lothrop High School to Bendle, the volleyball team is unstoppable! Captains Allie Buckingham ’17 and Anna Buko ’17 are continuing to be a threat on the court, with multiple Ace’s and outstanding teamwork. The Lady Panthers still have a long season ahead of them and a lot of experience to gain, so be sure to check the schedule and come support! If you are not doing anything tonight i strongly recommend you come show them some love at Bay City Western High School for the Swan Valley Quad. Have a great rest of the season ladies and always check nccpantherprint.com for updates and more!
