Almost every year during the time of our musical, the art classes put on an art show displaying all sorts of different art work throughout the school. This art work is art done by our very own students right here at Nouvel. All of the pieces put up were put into 11 different categories and were scored by Mr. Rocha and Mr. David Littell. Mr. David Littell is a professor at Saginaw Valley State University. He has a degree in MFA at Cranbrook with a focus in painting. He stayed for four hours after school last Friday with Mr. Rocha grading all the wonderful art work. Each category was given a first, second, and third place. The categories were drawing, pen’s ink, painting, tempera, watercolor, colored pencil, mixed media, pastels, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. As well as first, second, and third places for each category, he also chooses a “best of show” piece. This year the award went to Luke Lipinski for his blue flower painting.
