While on a trip to Ireland at the beginning of the summer, Mr. Bradtke suffered an injury to his neck. By the middle of the summer, surgery was still questionable; however, due to several slipped discs, it got pushed back to the first day of school. His expected recovery was supposed to last for six weeks, but he is recovering very well and may possibly be back sooner.

Nouvel Catholic Central is missing many things about Mr. Bradtke in these first weeks of school, but the top five are:

1) Music – If you have ever heard music being blasted on the third floor, it is definitely coming from Mr. Bradtke’s room. He has thousands and thousands of songs on his iTunes account, including all of the old time classics.

2) Conundrums – There is not a lot of free time spent in Mr. Bradtke’s room, but when there is, he is most likely asking a brain teaser.

3) Pictures of Birds – If you do not already know, Mr. Bradtke is an avid bird watcher, and also a photographer. If there is no tests to grade over the weekend, he is most likely looking for a good spot for some good shots.

4) Striped Shirts – If you have already had Mr. Bradtke, you have had the pleasure of seeing his array of striped button down shirts; most do not already know, but he is quite fashion forward!

5) Random but Interesting Imagination – Although chemistry may not be everyone’s favorite subject, Mr. Bradtke can come up with some fun, real life examples; his examples may have absolutely nothing to do with chemistry, but they really help a lot.
