To start off the week, #5 Stanford defeated #6 Wisconsin in 4 sets. Wisconsin has been off to a rocky start this season with a record of 2-3. Hopefully they can work out their issues and come back stronger next week. Next, #18 Minnesota takes down #1 Texas in 5 sets. If you know anything about Texas, you know they are a powerhouse. They won back-to-back national championships, and are looking for a 3-peat. On tuesday, #7 Penn State swept #4 Louisville. This is a great win for Penn State, and it will be exciting to see if they can continue to stay undefeated. Unranked SMU stunned #2 Nebraska with a huge upset win in 3 sets. SMU played some amazing volleyball, and I will be excited to see more from them in the future. Another shock was unranked USF taking down #10 Florida in a 5 set nail biter. The game was back and forth for the first 3 sets, but Florida just could not pull it together. And to end off the week with a bang, unranked Miami takes down #1 Texas with a reverse sweep. It was looking like Texas was going to sweep them in the first two sets, but Miami was not giving up. It will be exciting to see how the rankings change next week with all of these upsets.
