NCC Track 2018

With the emergence of spring we begin another hopefully successful Nouvel sports season for our panthers. In the past few years our Track and Field team has been a dominate force in our area winning numerous events and even being in the running for many regional and state titles. With the return of several record breaking athletes returning with Collin Hendricks on pull volt setting a school record last year, and Bri Green returning as a junior, as well as others like Sergio Molinar who have chances to break records. We caught up with Joseph Messana and got his thoughts on the season. ” The track team is looking good. Unfortunately, our boys coaches have stepped down.It will be tough without the legendary duo of Coach Meter, a Michigan Court of Appeals Judge; and Kyle Payne, a pole vault champion and grocery store aficionado, but fortunately the girls coach, Coach Geiger, graciously agreed to take us on, making Nouvel track a co-ed sport. Additionally, Evart dropped out of our region recently, which means that we have a very strong chance of winning Regionals. Even though we’re still devastated by the loss of Nathan Wardin, I think that we have a fantastic season ahead of us.” . We wish nothing but the best of luck to our promising panther squad as they hopefully get prepared for a great season and make a run for states as well as smashing records on the individual side. Be sure to come out and show your support at their upcoming meets that should begin as we return from our long awaited spring break. LET’S GO PANTHERS!
