Girls Varsity Soccer Update

The Lady Panthers have been having a great season so far with an overall record of  12-4-1. On April 10th, after coming back from spring break the Lady Panthers played Midland Bullock Creek and took the win 8-0. The Lady Panthers returned to the pitch on April 15th competed against Ithaca, taking home another 8-0 win. Savannah Garcia found the back of the net 3 times, earning herself a hat-trick.

On April 17th the Lady Panthers would start a streak of playing on their home field with a 11-0 win over Standish-Sterling, with Rachel LeFevre and Claire Long both scoring hat-tricks. Nouvel finished their stretch of home games with a 1-2 loss against the Chemics of Midland High School on April 19th, a 8-0 over the Millington Cardinals on April 24th with Claire long and Kelsey Berthiaume both scoring 2 goals a piece, a 1-0 win over the chargers of Valley Lutheran, and a 1-1 tie with the Huskies of Hemlock.

The Lady Panthers continued their season with a 2-0 win over Valley Lutheran on May 1st. They then competed at a tournament hosted by Frankenmuth on May 4th. Throughout the tournament the Lady Panthers picked up 1 win and 2 losses with a 1-2 loss against the Frankenmuth Eagles, a 0-2 loss to Bay City Western, and a 8-0 win over Capac. On May 6th the Lady Panthers played against Midland Bullock Creek and earned an 8-0 win.

On May 8th they then again played Ithaca and took a 10-1 win, also honoring their 4 seniors: Isabella Dobis, Madie Werner, Elaina Jimenez, and Savannah Garcia. Finally on May 11th the Lady Panthers competed against Essexville Garber and took a 2-1 win. The two most recent games they Lady Panthers competed in really showed how ready the team is for districts. On May 13th the Lady Panthers competed against Standish-Sterling once again and would take another 8-0 win, with the star of the game being  Kelsey Berthiaume who scored 5 goals.

Most recently the Lady Panthers competed against Hemlock and they Lady P

anthers ended up taking a 4-0 win over the Huskies.  The Lady Panthers have their last regular season game on  May 21st against Millington at Millington High School before competing in the district competition hosted by Nouvel in which the Lady Panthers are hoping to win back-to-back district championships. They’re also hoping to make it farther than the regional finals and to make it to the state championship.
