Despite not having a homecoming dance and parade, Nouvel still made the most of what would have been homecoming week. Each day had a different dress theme and featured a new “minute to win it” game at lunch.  Senior Jenna Kiss says, “Spirit week was a nice break from normal school, but it’s sad we couldn’t have a normal homecoming week.” Monday kicked off the week with quarantine style/comfy day. Everyone wore their favorite comfy clothes and some participated in the forehead cookie minute to in it game. Josh Siler and Lauren Shaheen were the champions of the game. Tuesday was twin day and it was so fun to see everyone’s identical outfits. To no surprise, Wednesday was dress up day and the seniors attended Mass with Fr. Rick. Thursday was Flannel day where students could wear any flannel shirt or pants of their choice. It was also an eventful day because of the covid-19 scare and multiple people being sent home. We ended the week with an all out spirit day and field day. Field day highlights included Jack Kujawa and Max Hammis winning the cornhole tournament, and Josh Fleming winning the scavenger hunt and earning a comfy day for the seniors. Friday night’s game ended with a 41-0 Nouvel win over Valley Lutheran!
