Spring Musical Update

Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 and the stay-at-home order for Michigan, the PAC remains dark and quiet.  All extracurricular activities at Nouvel High School have been suspended indefinitely, leaving many students, faculty, and extended Nouvel family uneasy and disappointed.  Unfortunately, the Nouvel Drama Department will face the same fate as other activities. It’s spring musical, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”, has been officially cancelled for 2020.  The production was well into its rehearsal schedule when the Coronavirus forced the State of Michigan to close its schools. The director, Ari Whitman, held out hope as long as she could, altering the practice schedule to less practices and for shorter time periods.  Within a week, Ari had to inform the students that they could no longer rehearse and the show would be cancelled. When asked about the recent announcement, one cast member’s parent commented, “It’s very sad, especially for our seniors. We just have to stay positive and pray for one another.  That’s the Nouvel way.”
