New Season, New Coaches

With the start of the fall sports season there are many new young coaches in the athletic program. Three of the five varsity sports teams have new coaches this season. With the retirement of Coach Boyd it was announced that Coach Weigl would be the next head coach for Nouvel football. Coach Weigl had been an assistant coach at Nouvel for nine seasons before taking the head coaching job.  The boy’s varsity soccer team also has a new head coach, Coach Mark McLean who is new to the Nouvel sports program.   The Varsity Volleyball team has a new coach as well Coach Jessica Fugate who used to be the 8th grade volleyball coach at Nouvel Catholic Central Elementary School before becoming the varsity coach this season.
