Lady Panthers Defeat Sacred Heart and Freeland

The girls yet again pull off another win against the No. 2-ranked (Class D) Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart handing Sacred Heart their first loss of the season. The final score was a close 46-41. Laurel Jacqmain was the lead scorer with 19 points along with Mallory Benkert who had 9 points. Maddie Graham helped out the team with having 5 steals. The girls next game was on the 30th against No. 2 Ypsilanti Arbor Preparatory whose record was an impressive 12-1 going into the game. Nouvel took a tough defeat, 66-42, with Laurel Jacqmain scoring 18 points. The girls most recent game was yesterday against Freeland. Nouvel’s intensity was too much for Freeland to handle in a 79-49 victory for the lady Panthers. Laurel Jacqmain scored 31 points and Maddie Graham scored 15. The girls next game is home on Friday the 5th against Detroit Edison at 7:00.
