The Nouvel Boys Varsity Basketball team played Hemlock last Wednesday in the District Semi-Finals and won 57-41. Junior guards MJ and Donny Yeager and senior center Max Hammis led the team in points. MJ had 19 points, and Max and Donny contributed 10. The Panthers then played on Friday and fought for the District title against Reese. They beat Reese by 4 points in a very exciting game. The same players were the leading scores again. MJ scored 20 points, Donny scored 16 points, and Max scored 14. This is the boys’ third district title in a row, and they clinched a spot in the Regional Semi-Finals. The Panthers played against Millington in the Regional Semi-Finals yesterday and won by 20 points. Both of the Yeagers led the team in points again, and junior center Preston Otter contributed some as well. This win qualified them for the Regional Finals! Come out and support the team at Unionville-Sebewing High School tomorrow for the Regional Championship game against Flint Beecher!
