Track and Field: Fulton Invitational

Cold, windy, and rainy weather is not the ideal weather for a track meet, but Nouvel managed to push on and keep going during this glum day in May. The invitational was hosted by Fulton High School, which included thirteen other high schools from around Michigan. Nouvel took first place in the men’s 4×100 relay and the men’s 4×200 relay. Nouvel also took second place in the women’s 4×200 relay. Brianna Greene, ’19, took second in the women’s 100 meter race first place in the200 meter race. Madison Sheridan, ’17, took third place in the women’s 200 meter race and second place in the women’s 400 meter race. Sergio Molinar, ’19, placed third in the men’s 400 meter race with a time of 54.47 seconds. Matt Bartels, ’17, took first place in both the 1600 and 3200 meter races. Senior Payton Hirschenberger took second place in men’s long jump with a distance of 18 feet even. Garrett Marino, ’17, took third place in men’s long jump. Senior Lauren Nowosatka took second place in the women’s pole vault. Robi Stuart, ’17, took first place in the men’s shot put category with a throw of 52′04.25″, a new personal record. Senior Jacob Gray took second place in men’s shot put and first place in men’s discus with a throw of 131’11”. The Nouvel track and field team is now preparing for Regionals that is this coming Saturday, May 21st, at Breckenridge High School. Make sure to come out to their last home meet on Tuesday, May 17th to support your fellow panthers!
