Bound to Cross the Finish Line

As the Nouvel Varsity Cross Country team’s regular season is ending, they have been finishing out strong in their last few meets. At the TVC 10 Jam #3 located at Hidden Oaks Golf Course (10/11), the boys’ team finished eighth overall. Sophomore Rodney Iamurri was the fastest Panther runner, placing 5th overall. He also earned all-TVC first-team honors due to his outstanding performances in the three TVC meets. In the girls’ race, sophomore Sydney Leslie finished 20th out of 78 runners. Sophomores Julia Hamilton and Rodney Iamurri had their personal best times. 

At the Freeland Falcon Invite (10/15), Rodney led the team and took home a medal, finishing 22nd overall. Seniors Colin Kaul and Thomas Kolleth had their season-best times. At the team’s last meet before regionals (10/22) at Saginaw Valley State University, Rodney Iamurri was a medalist and placed 14th out of 73 runners. The team took 8th place, and junior Elise Long and sophomore Zeke Boyd had personal best times. Senior Jayden Pascual had his season-best time. Wish the Nouvel Cross Country team good luck as they head to Regionals at Chippewa Hills on Friday, October 28!
