The Major League Baseball season drew to a fantastic close in a thrilling game 7. The game went back and forth and eventually went to into extra innings. Two Rajai Davis home runs was not enough for the Indians to come back from a late Cubs rally that would earn them the right to call themselves World Series Champions for the first time in 108 years. Cubs fans have suffered for what seems like an eternity with numerous events that lead them to believe in the curse. Events like the foul ball intercepted by Steve Bartman, the black cat that lurked around the Cubs dugout in 1969, and most famously the Billy Goat. But now, it is all in the past as long suffering fans can now rejoice for their team has won a World Series Championship. Looking ahead, this could be the beginning of a dynastic run for the Cubs which may include multiple championships citing the fact that their entire starting infield were all-stars and all under the age of 26 years old. This in tandem with Theo Epstein and the smartest front office in baseball could really turn them into an organization that will compete for championships for the next decade.
