SADD: The Students Against Destructive Decisions club’s theme this year is impaired and distracted driving. This theme is not only limited to texting and driving, rather all forms of distracted diving such as drinking or even browsing social media. SADD strives for at least one, maybe two, assemblies per year. If you are interested in joining SADD please feel free to stop by at any meetings, all are welcome. If you have any further questions please see Mrs. Chaltraw.
Spirit Club: The Nouvel spirit club is responsible for promoting our blue and silver school spirit. Creating banners, coming up with new student section cheers, and showing pride in our school is what this club is all about. Typically spirit club meets on Mondays after school, this week however, they will meet after school on Tuesday and Wednesday due to homecoming week. If you would like to make signs, you do not have to be present to do so and may do it whenever you can. Students are needed to sign up to be the panther. Service hours will be given, see Mrs. Adelman for more details.
NHS: The National Honors Society’s four pillars are: service, leadership, scholarship and character. NHS sponsors three blood drives and the first one is coming up on September 27th. The following blood drives will occur 12/13/16 and 4/10/17. Thank you to all NHS members who participate in recycling. Finally, NHS will be sponsoring a Halloween dance on October 22nd, tickets will be five dollars and goes from is 8:30 to 10:30.
Students for Life: Students for, is a pro-life, non-profit organization that seeks to end abortion, euthanasia, and infanticide. They aim to educate students about issues through non-violence and most importantly prayer. Coming up there will be a group that goes to the abortion clinic on Fridays to pray for the unborn lost lives of children. All are welcome to meetings, more information to come.
