The MI Great Buddy Walk® Committee with its supporting partners; Carrollton Community Education, Bellsmith Graphics, Bee Inspired, Eagles FOE Aerie 4413, and The Saginaw Community Foundation, would like to welcome you in your support for our fifth annual MI Great Buddy Walk® September 24th, 2016, at 11:00AM-1:00PM at the Carrollton High School Stadium in Carrollton Michigan. The main purpose of this walk is to promote acceptance and awareness for individuals with Down syndrome in our community and to help support acceptance and awareness for all other individuals with disabilities.

Said event organizer Kristin Novak, ” I have been involved with Buddy Walks since my niece was diagnosed with Down Syndrome 17 years ago. I love it! I still go back to Chicago every year and walk the Chicago Buddy Walk with niece Isabelle!”

Kate Dupuis brought the Buddy Walk to Carrollton 5 years ago and it continues to grow every year. In addition to the walk itself, there is also a silent auction and hot dogs and beverages to help raise money. All funds raised will go to the National Down Syndrome Society and Above the Wake (a Bay County non-profit focused on creating positive experiences for children with Autism). Said Novak, “We are always looking for people to come to our MI Great Buddy Walk!  It is such a great event to be around such inspiring individuals who have the biggest hearts! It is my favorite day of the year!”
