The Girl’s Varsity basketball team ended the regular season with a record of 0-20. Nonetheless, they went into playoffs with no fear. They drew a face off against Bay City All Saints for their first round of district play. All Saints went into the game as the favorite to win, with a winning record of 15-8. The Panthers started off slow, falling behind early with a score of 21-12 going into the break, with it looking like All Saints was going to take it. But the Panthers “Did not quit,” as coach Kramer stated. They went on to win the game with a score of 28-26, holding All Saints to just 5 points in the second half. Lexi Kuligowski led Nouvel with 11 points, also including the go-ahead bucket late in the fourth quarter. She was followed by Camille Wardin who pitched in 8 points. The district final will take place at Nouvel on March 3, 2023, at 7 pm. As always, go Panthers!
