A lot has happened since the last up date on the Nouvel Panthers baseball team. The Panthers have been on fire as they go on a 10 game win streak to start the 2016 season. After their season opener sweep against Carrolton they went on to sweep Frankenmuth with a score of 12-4 for both games. They would then go on to demolish Michigan Lutheran Seminary 9-2 and using the mercy rule to their advantage in game two with an astonishing win of 15-0 in three innings. The panthers faced the Bad Axe Hatchets next were they won the first game 4-1 and won the second game 1-0 after a walk off single from senior Payton Hirschenberger. Senior Kane Bourbina recorded the first no-hitter this year for the Panthers in game two against Bad Axe, with the only thing keeping him form throwing a perfect game was a hit batter in the third inning. The bats were on fire as the Panthers won the first game against the Valley Lutheran chargers 17-10, they would then hold the charger to only one run in the second game as they continued their perfect season with a 5-1 win in the second game. Weather permitting, the Panthers will face Bay City John Glen on Tuesday the 26th where they are hoping to improve their record to 12-0. Keep up the good work boys.
