After a rough start the Panthers really turned this season around, in the last eight weeks of the season the defense let up only 34 points while the offense hit the gas and put up 210 points against the opposing defenses. They ended the regular season on a high note with a 35-8 win over Grosse Point Woods University Liggett. Cam Fluder was the main offensive focus with 209 yards on 28 carries and three touchdows, quarterback Mitch Morley went 7 of 10 passing for 107 yards and a rushing touchdown. Although the offense had a big game it was only made possible due to the defense  forcing six turnovers, Blake Heinz, Miguel Monroy, Alex Dwan, and Jason Russell all caught and interception, while Alex Wrobel and Robi Stuart both recovered a fumble. The Panthers also stopped the Knights three times on a fourth down. This momentum would carry over into their pre-district game with a 38-22 win over Lincoln Alcona. Jason Russell broke school records with 254 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 8 catches, with the most impressive being a 99 yard catch in the first quarter after the defense stopped Alcona on their own one yard line. Mitch Morley was able to put 346 yards and five touchdowns under his belt at quarterback. Cam Fluder also had a big offensive game with 156 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries, and 77 receiving yards and a touchdown.  This friday at home the Panthers will take on McBain who is coming off of a 34-22 win over Whittemore-Prescott. McBain will be another good test on how the Panthers can do against another big and physical team. Good luck fellas.
