Snow Days

Now that winter is finally here, it is important to be prepared for any situation especially SNOW DAYS! Snow days can be based on how icy it is, the harsh cold weather conditions, or the amount of snow on the roads. Our administration usually call off school when the township calls it off. The minimum temperature that it must be for the schools to be called off is -20 degree windchill. The many myths that people do include would be wearing their pajamas backwards, putting a spoon under their pillow, and flushing ice down the toilet. As we all know, Mrs. Blanchard usually gets a really bad headache before a snow day too and that is usually an indication that we will have a snow day. A lot of people use the snow day calculator to give us some indication of how good of a chance we have to get a snow day which can be found at http://www.snowdaycalculator.com/calculator.php. If there is ever a huge snow storm or really cold weather in the forecast, be prepared for any situation and enjoy the winter season!
