Last Wednesday night the Nouvel Choir rocked the P.A.C with their awesome performances at this year’s Spring Concert. Their ensembles included songs from the new beloved Disney movie, Frozen with solos performed by Bree Bivins, Nina Solis, Mary Zolkowski, and Johnny Metiva. Amongst all the beautiful voices Nina Solis performed a violin solo that left the audience in complete awe. Other key songs from the performance included “All of Me” by John Legend, with Nina on the violin and a collection of songs from the classic musical The Sound of Music as a special tribute to the late Mrs. Porath. Also, the choir members added much enjoyed performances to go along with their songs. In accompaniment with the Nouvel Choir, the St. Thomas Choir also made an appearance at last night’s concert. The performance was all smiles as they sang catchy tunes from the 1950’s like “Jump, Jive an’ Wail” and “Forever Doo- Wop”. To tie it all together, both choirs preformed “Make a Miracle” beautifully; showing promise for next year’s choir. It was also very touching to watch and listen to the senior’s last performance singing “So Long, Farewell” from The Sound of Music collection. To end the concert Mrs. Schindler, the choir director gave out a number of awards to her students. Rachel Seamon won the National School Choral Award, Cori Little received the Directors Award and Most Improved, Alicia Chacon was awarded the Choir Service Award, and finally all the seniors received medals to wear at their graduation commemorating their numerous achievements in choir.
