Pair of Kings

 NCC Homecoming 2012 was an unusual one. For the first time in history at Nouvel Catholic Central, there were two top hats handed out at Friday’s Court Assembly. Stephen Ulicki, who is the Football team’s left guard, and Josh Schipper, the left tackle, are not just sharing the left side of the line this year, but  are also sharing the title of NCC Homecoming King. Paige Albito was announced as this year’s Homecoming Queen at the football game later that evening. At Saturday’s dance, Steve and Josh got down and danced the night away. The down side of having two kings and only one queen is that they could not have a spot light dance. Instead, the entire school got in two lines and leading the way in-between the two lines were two kings and queen Paige Albito strutting their moves down the cat walk. Stephen Ulicki says, “It’s a great honor that not only did I win king, but I can share it with my friend and team mate…” Stephen had broken his hand not even a week earlier, but that did not stop him from having a good time. Josh says, “I wasn’t expecting to be the king or co-king, I was just happy to be on Homecoming Court…”
