The Nouvel Catholic Central boys’ varsity soccer team wrapped up their season on October 10, falling to Ithaca High School after a hard-fought match. The game ended with a final score of 0-2 during round one of district playoffs. Throughout the season the Nouvel squad has faced a number of challenges, at times having to play with only 10 players on the field for the entire game. Despite this, the team finished the season with a record of 4-10-1.

Although the season ended earlier than they would have liked, the team remains optimistic, and plans to return stronger and more determined next year. Junior striker Cam Kaul had this to say about the district game, “We played really well and it was very competitive. They scored a second goal with five minutes left and that was really the dagger.”
