On February 18, the Nouvel Science Olympiad team traveled down to the University of Michigan to take part in yet another invitational meet. The team competed in 23 different events that include test taking, building and testing what you built. This invitational is helping them to prepare for their regional competition in Frankenmuth on March 11, 2023.

The team meets every Saturday morning to connect with their partners and make sure they are on the same page. This also gives them the opportunity to take practice tests and see what they know best and what they need to work on so they are prepared for the next competion. Talking to their coach, Ms. Wagner, she says she is looking forward to regionals and is proud of all of the students hard work and dedication to their events.

Going into Regionals, Frankenmuth is Nouvel’s biggest competition. At U of M Frankenmuth placed 42 and Nouvel placed 49 out of over 58 teams. Nouvel is hoping bring home many medals and hope to qualify at states which takes place at Michigan State University in May.

Good luck Science Olympiad!
