The month of November is a time of Thanksgiving and giving back. This month, the National Honors Society came together to give back to the community. From October 27th to November 3rd, students on NHS met from 8:15-9:15AM, at St. Thomas Aquinas, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Honor Society member Ashley McDonald claims to have packed 80 lunches! All lunches are given out to the homeless, or hungry.

National Honor Society member, Sathvika Ravichandran, has not only been feeding the hungry, but also developing the academic culture here at Nouvel. Senior, Sathvika recently founded the Book Club and is currently Book Club President. Alongside her is Vice President, Elise Schwind, Treasurer, Riley Mattheis, and Secretary, Elizabeth Gardner. Since then, club members have hosted a bake sale and a book drive. The bake sale raked in an amazing three-hundred and twenty-four dollars, while the book drive produced two-hundred and twenty books, donated by students and staff. The club is currently reading Lock the Doors, by Vincent Ralph. In only two months the Book Club has accomplished so much! If you’re interested in or curious about Book Club, they will be meeting in the library, this upcoming Monday, November 21st.
