Nouvel’s Varsity Football team defeated Division 7 Burton Bendle 41-8 in their final regular season game. Joey LeFevre led the Panther’s scoring 4 touchdowns on 6 receptions, with a total of 177 yards. Junior QB Preston Otter threw a very accurate game going 12/15 on pass completions, totaling 250 yards, as well as throwing 5 touchdowns (4 to Joey LeFevre and 1 to Tristen Elizalde). This win caps their season with a record of 6-3, which locks them in position for a possible playoff run. Their first District playoff game will be against the Ubly Bearcats at their home turf. The Detroit Free Press stated that Nouvel’s bracket is the “Toughest district”, consisting with the teams of Nouvel, Ubly, Michigan Lutheran Seminary, and Harbor Beach. All four of the teams in the district are top 15 in Division 8. Best of luck to the Panther’s as they head to Ubly this Friday, October 28th.
