The Nouvel Cross Country team is back in action. Mr. Bartels is the coach, and it is his 17th year coaching the Cross Country team here at Nouvel. The seniors on the team this year are Jacob Miros, Colin Kaul, Thomas Kolleth, and Jayden Pascual. The team recently ran at the Birch Run and Carrolton Invitationals, and did very well. Between those two meets, Sean O’Grady, Zeke Boyd, Sydney Leslie, Julia Hamilton, and Hallie Beck all had personal bests. At the Birch Run Invitational (8/25), Rodney Iamurri, Sean O’Grady, Sydney Leslie, and Julia Hamilton all took home medals. On 8/30, sophomore Rodney Iamurri took first place at the Carrolton Invitational at Imerman Park. At the 53rd Lancer Invitational (9/10), Rodney and Sydney took home medals, with Rodney finishing 8th overall and Sydney finishing 20th overall. Their next meet is on Tuesday (9/13) at Stratford Park. Way to go Panthers!
