Ayiteh Sowah is a running back for the Nouvel Varsity Football team. He played on the team for four years. The day of a big game Sowah prepares by keeping a clear mindset. He makes sure to get his water intake up the day before the game to reduce the risk of cramping and so the hydration can set in. The football team gets Subway to eat before every big game, and do their stretches in the weight room. Once the team gets out to the field they do many drills to prepare their bodies, such as running routes, tackling, catching balls, and offensive/defensive schemes. Ayiteh’s personal goals for this season is to beat Novel’s all time rushing touchdown record as well as get over 1000 yards. Sowah’s team goal is to make it to Regionals. Although he prefers to listen to classical music, Ayiteh loves listening to Waddup by PGF Nuk and Polo G when prepping for the field. So far this season, Ayiteh loved going to C camp with the team, “We made a lot of memories and had fun being together.”
