The 2017 March for Life was a huge success. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the march, it is an annual rally peacefully protesting abortion on the day and/or anniversary of the United States Supreme Court’s decision legalizing abortion in the case Roe v. Wade A majority of the sophomores and juniors packed their bags for the 12 hour bus ride to Washington D.C. The NCC group arrived in D.C. on Thursday night and prepared for a weekend of fun. Some of the events included touring the Basilica, vising the Washington Monument, going to the Horizons Center to have mass, seeing the Lincoln Memorial, and going to the Air and Space Smithsonian. The marchers were even visited by Vice President Mike Pence. Sophomore Jimmy Benkert says his favorite part about the trip was, “…visiting the memorial with friends on Saturday.” Junior Allyson Sova explained how “Seeing the amount of people who believe in the same thing coming together was what stood out to me the most.”
