Although everyone thinks of McDonald’s when they want to get a mint shake, we realized it shouldn’t be the only place in mind, Arby’s should also be considered. With the upcoming holiday, St. Patrick’s Day, McDonald’s and Arby’s brought back their mint shakes for a limited time. We decided to put them to the test and try them to see which one was the best!

After trying both, we concluded that Arby’s shake has a more minter, authentic taste, tasting more like an Andes mint. Whereas, McDonald’s Shamrock shake had a sweeter taste and tasted more artificial. The McDonald’s Shamrock Shake is great, however it is very simple. The basic recipe consists of vanilla soft serve, “Shamrock Shake” flavoring (mint syrup), and a whipped cream topping. Meanwhile, Arby’s Mint Milkshake has the same basic ingredients, but it takes things to the next level and top their milkshake and top it with bits of Andes Crème De Menthe chocolate mints, as well as some delicious chocolate syrup. The Arby’s Shake was very easy to drink and it was very good. Next time you’re thinking about a Shamrock Shake, make sure to head over to Arby’s and get this shake instead. You will not be disappointed!
