The Girls Varsity Basketball Team had a great February so far. With a start on the new month, the girls played Standish Sterling Central High School at home on 2/1. The girls beat Standish 53-33. Sterling Solek scored 14 points and 9 other players scored throughout the game. Earlier in the season, the girls lost to Standish-Sterling in overtime, but pulled through to win.

The girls then played against Carrolton at home on 2/03. The girls extended their winning streak to eight games. They ended up winning 59-45. This game was a very tough game. They had to pull together as a team to pull through and in the end, they showed their determination and won. They beat Carrolton earlier in the season too. The girls are now 9-3 on the season.

Senior post player Grace Chacon said “I have been out for the past 2 weeks due to an injury, but I have noticed the girls are really pulling together. They are playing great as a team and have made amazing improvements.”
