Tennis Heads to States

The Nouvel girls tennis team up held and exceeded all expectations for their 2020-2021 season. Their season record was a solid 10-1, losing to Frankenmuth only by a smidge this year. The tennis team competed in the TVC and Regionals which took place at the Greater Midland Tennis Center, in Midland. They not only placed second in the TVC but, also took second in Regionals. Based on the great outcome in Regionals, the girls tennis will be taking up the challenge of traveling to Kalamazoo to compete at States, Thursday, June 3rd.

When asked what her favorite part of the season was this year, Junior Ava Yatch responded with, “My favorite thing about this season was playing tennis with Emma Adelman as my doubles partner.” As the season wraps up, it will be heart breaking to see eight, outstanding team players leave, seven of which were either on doubles or singles. A big shout out goes to this years seniors, who made a ever lasting impression on the team. These seniors include, Emma Adelman, Jelina Murad, Sophie Groya, Jenna Kiss, Sara Schwind, Sydeny Norris, Bre Mauch, and Autmun Skowronski.
