Following their first ever playoff win against Mt. Pleasant last season, the FNV Griffins are looking to build on that momentum from last year and are gearing up for what is sure to be an exciting season! The Griffins are a deep team this year with many players looking to contribute. Key players include Nouvel junior defenseman Dylan Kingsbury, Nouvel junior forward Liam Simerson, Nouvel senior forward Kyle Ursuy, and Freeland senior forward Brendan Maly.  Maly will serve as captain of the Griffins while Dylan Kingsbury and Liam Simerson will serve as assistant captains alongside Freeland junior forward Connor Dvorak. With the team feeling excited and confident headed into the season, fan favorite Kyle Ursuy has graciously agreed to an exclusive interview with the Nouvel Panther Print!

Q: What are the team’s goals for the upcoming season?

A: Our goal is to make the playoff tournament and hopefully make a run to the championship!

Q: What are your personal goals for the upcoming season?

A: This year I would to improve off of a career year last year and contribute in any way I can to help this team win.

Q. Finally, how is the team feeling coming into two tough games this week, including an SVL team in Davison?

A: We are playing two very good teams this week and need to focus on getting shots on net and playing good defense. The boys are rolling and we’re flying around everyday at practice so if we follow the game plan we’ll take care of business.

If you would like to support Kyle and the rest of the Griffins their schedule can be found on www.BigTeams.com and their games will be livestreamed on livebarn.com

From all of us here at the Nouvel Panther Print, good luck to the Griffins in their upcoming season!
