Our boys soccer team has continued their season in exciting fashion and are getting ready for a deep playoff run. The team has many talented forwards and midfielders that create a balanced and potent scoring attack for the team. Names to remember include juniors Caleb Pinkerton and Parker Thiel, sophomore Noah Stewart, and senior Jordan Osmond. The defense is anchored by junior Dylan McCrae, and senior Rowan Fila. The team won their last game on the road defeating Standish-Sterling 4-1. Jordan Osmond scored two goals to lead the team while Caleb Pinkerton and junior Jacob Johnson chipped in a goal apiece. This was a big win that provided a much needed boost to the squad, bumping their record to 4-5 with only three games left before playoffs.

The team has drawn a challenging district this year with their first game coming against a talented host Midland Calvary Baptist. When asked to comment, standout Parker Thiel said “Despite our recent struggles, I have full confidence in the boys and our coaches that we will be on the right track come playoff time.” Defender Rowan Fila added, “We are excited for the remainder of our season and look forward to making some noise in districts.” Rowan has scored two goals from defense this year, once against Ithaca, and once against Midland Calvary Baptist this year, an incredible feat. This exciting team is looking to wrap up their season in winning fashion and are focused on getting ready for a deep playoff run. On behalf of the NCC community, we’re rooting for you! Go Panthers!
