No Shave, No Shiver November

No Shave, No Shiver November is here!  During the chilly month of November, Nouvel students have the opportunity to pay to participate in the event which will last the whole month and contribute to a great cause. Starting November 1st you can pay 5$ to wear a school appropriate sweatshirt for the whole month of November, and 10$ to not shave for the whole month as well. Or you can pay the full 15$ to do both.   Teachers choosing to to get involved are able to pay $10 to wear jeans.

This year there is also a special “No Cancer” option! Dr. Carmen Szilagi, mother of NCC senior and NCC PantherPrint staff writer Sam Szilagi, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  For an additional $2 (in addition to the no shave, no shiver cost), students and staff can purchase a “Team Carmen” t-shirt as part of the No Shave, No Shiver event, and are encouraged to wear the shirts as an NCC spirit day option. Sign-ups will be during lunch hours beginning Thursday, October 24, and ending Tuesday, October 29. Last year just over $1200 was raised. All the money made goes to families in need this upcoming holiday season.

Those who participate are supporting a great cause as well as beating the cold this Fall season!
