Thanksgiving Traditions

Thanksgiving is a time to focus on all the things we appreciate in our lives. It is a time to spend time with family and friends, and a break from school. At Nouvel, every single family has a different way of celebrating this special time, and here are some of our favorites. What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition?

Jonah Wright ’19: “Food.”

Lynn and Patrick Shabluk ’18 & ’16: Getting our Christmas tree.”

Hunter Grigg ’17: “Helping my mom cook the turkey, and seeing my cousins.”

Blake Heinz ’16: “Going to the Lions game and then going to my grandmas for dinner.”

Mrs. DeLong: “Just being with my family.”

Mr. and Mrs. Syzm: “Going to morning mass together.”

Mr. Hoving: “Chopping wood with my family to heat our parent’s homes.”

Each family may celebrate the holiday differently, but all can agree that it is not what you are doing but who you are doing it with. Times like these should be spent with those we love and are thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!
