Griffins Off to A Two and Three Start

The FNV Griffins season is now in full swing! The Griffins had their first match up against Tawas High School on the 21 of November. The Griffins blew out the Braves in a 9-0 mercy win. Nouvel Panther John Paul Lefevre scored his first goal of the season that game, “It was nice getting the first one of the season to go in.” Lefevre said. the Griffins then went on a two game road trip were they split 1-1. the first game of the road trip was against West Ottawa were the Griffins took the win with a score of  3-0. the second game of the road trip, the Griffins were handed their first loss of the season by Jackson High School with a score of 1-2. the Griffins have lost their last two games against Davison and Troy. Nouvel sophomore Kyle Ursuy states, “The team is young and is learning how to play with each other, it shouldn’t be long before things start to click again. The leading scorers for the Griffins five games into the season are Freeland High School sophomore Brenden Maly (7), and Nouvel and Freeland juniors John Paul Lefevre (2) and Evan Dubuque (2).  . The Griffins have started a six game road trip and their next game is December 8, against the Alliance from Lapeer.  The game will be hosted in Lapeer with a face off time at 5:45 p.m.
